  • Winter Storm Warning

    A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Watauga County from 7 pm Saturday, December 8 until 11 am Monday, December 10. This includes Appalachian State University. Heavy snow possible. Travel may become difficult or impossible at times. Power outages may also occur. Be prepared to remain at home and indoors for extended periods. Evaluate the latest weather forecast prior to traveling and consider adjusting travel plans as needed. Have a plan in place in the event power is lost.
